Massage specialist Marytė Prūdnikova
Our bodies are our homes. Homes where the soul lives.
Do we give our bodies as much time as we give the homes we live in?
I am a certified therapeutic massage specialist!

Education and qualifications
I received my first diploma at the Karolis Dineika massage school in Druskininkai in 1983!
A few years ago I completed massage training again and renewed my qualification at the Karalius Mindaugas Vocational Training Centre in Kaunas.
Experience in Lithuania and abroad
Before returning to Lithuania, I worked at a health institute in Poland. There I nicknamed myself “Generalna Sprzątaczka”, meaning a thorough cleaner. My work was in great demand in Poznań and Warsaw, with many good results.
I have been massaging and “cleaning” bodies for over 40 years.
My massage career began with the Lithuanian women's cycling team! I was their massage therapist, administrator and assistant coach.
I recently met Lithuanian cycling twins Rasa and Jolanta Polikevičiūtė! Rasa said nobody since had given her a massage like mine. A little moment of pride!
I also worked at the Movement rehabilitation centre in Moscow, mainly with people after strokes. I remember visiting a client at home who was bedridden after a stroke. After ten sessions, the client could get up and walk.
Personal experience
During my sporting years I had many problems with my spine. I managed to address them myself.

My own massage method
This is how my own Universum massage method developed. No two massages are the same. It is a creative process, tailored to each person's needs.
I advocate whole-body massage, because the body is one connected organism, closely linked to the mind and soul.
Universum massage
In my approach, the body holds memories of biological conflicts. I draw on my knowledge of psychosomatics during massage to help people explore possible causes and ways to address them.
I call it Universum because I may use cups or Lyapko applicators with gentle, short needles resembling a hedgehog! Dr Lyapko, who created this reflexology tool, was himself nicknamed the Hedgehog.
I also use acupressure during massage, exploring sensitive points. Sometimes people discover discomfort they had not noticed before.
Attention to every person
As my hands move over the body, they seem to know where to pause and apply pressure. I pay particular attention to the feet and hands.
There is a big difference between a whole-body massage and a partial massage. It is something to experience!
Rather than describe the benefits here, I invite you to experience massage for yourself!
Client experiences
In the Reviews section you can read clients' experiences after Universum massage.
I invite everyone to experience it personally!
